Leslie Alton, LCPC, MHC, LPC

Leslie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She currently lives in the Chicago area and provides professional counseling to those in Illinois, Indiana, Florida, and Oklahoma.  She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology and a Masters in Counseling. She continued her training working at a higher level of care (Partial Hospitalization Program-PHP, and Intensive Outpatient Program- IOP) providing individual and group counseling, along with supporting the individual and their loved ones via family sessions. She started working in the mental health field since undergrad and has over 3,330 supervised hours working at a higher level of care. She supports emerging adults and adults of diverse populations that live with varying levels of depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma and struggle with life transitions and challenges.

To best meet the needs of each individual, she uses evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Leslie’s goal is to provide a non-judgmental environment for individuals to safely explore behaviors, thoughts, and emotions and the impacts they have on daily life.

Leslie enjoys spending time outside, swinging in a hammock, biking or rollerblading, listening to either music or podcasts, and enjoys cooking and trying new recipes.
